On the plus side it is close to Maidenhead and there are nice places in the vacinity like Windsor and Eton. It is a bit nearer London than the other two, but not significantly. Reading really easy to get to London from. Only you can decide after you have been down for a visit.

The Riverside is great, especially in the summer for bars and cafes and as mentioned, Reading is only 30 minutes by train to London. I would choose Reading. You'll have more nightlife, shopping, trains to London and Maidenhead etc.
