We have found monsters before. As biology has gotten better at tracking down the beasts that elude us, unlikely legends are becoming real animals. Just recently, we finally obtained amazing footage of two very mysterious creatures—the giant squid and the oarfish. Over the years biologists and fisherman have found traces of their existence, from fins and tentacles to intact bodies.
This is how we find rare creatures in huge areas—we follow the evidence. In science, the kind of evidence matters; all unlikelihoods are not created equal.
For peer review, replication, and objectivity to make any headway on the continuum, for science to find the right answers to anything, there have to be wrong—or at least unlikely—answers. By blinding, replicating, and ultimately verifying experiments, science moves forward.
The more personal data gets—the more the evidence is anecdotal and neither repeatable nor verifiable—the less likely a theory becomes.
That is something others can measure and touch; nobody can see exactly what you saw. Daniel Loxton, co-author with Donald Prothero of the fantastically thorough new book Abominable Science! And thousands of people who have seen them with their own eyes KNOW they exist. Not everyone is a 'Rick Dyer'. Why talk about true credible professionals that believe? No one believed in the mountain gorilla, the giant squid, or the giant panda either.
They were dismissed as 'myths' once too. They have all been discovered. Perhaps someone will finally discover the Sasquatch one day as well. Martin Jan 24, I am going out to find Bigfoot in in Colorado park county where there has been a lot of sightings but not like the shows do, first I feel they migrate like Bears do within a 50 mile radius so they travel eat and sleep in that terrain and they have a sense of smell like a bear so in finding them you can't in one night it takes days and to get close you have to smell like the area you are in which takes about 2 to 3 days if your lucky your in the right place to start but if not go walking and camp on the way, tree knocks and screams I feel are communication screams could be like wolves and coyotes notifying others dinner is served knocks are to locate so if heard don't reply go to them.
They are curious to everything like many animals and are afraid of humans as well so at camp be yourself but when walking be quiet and listen as for tree structures and twisted trees they are indicators of territory to others as for heat signatures through thermals I believe there fur disguises them and don't only look down look up as well people think they just run and catch deer what about dropping on them when deer hear a noise they don't look up.

Forget about roadway bridges and culverts because both of us now know that's where trappers get beaver pelts. If you compare the creature in the P-G film with the two best bigfoot's produced by Hollywood, i.
The creature in the Patterson-Gimlin suit does not have human proportions. I am not saying this is proof that Bigfoot exists but it is definitely an anomaly that needs to be explained. None of the people who claimed to be the "man in the suit" have the proportions or gait demonstrated in the video.
You can see what I mean on You Tube with the Bill Munn analysis he is a top Hollywood special effects artist and he says he cannot make a suit like the creature in the P-G film , and another video called "21 degrees" that analyzes the gait. Also, regarding breeding populations, there is an island in the Indian Ocean with an estimated population of people. They are very unfriendly and even today no one can visit that island. Scientists estimate that they have been isolated for as long as 60, years yet their population still thrives.
My point is, based on this island example, it is possible for a small population to still thrive and reproduce.

There recently was a man in Canada,that lived 25 years in the wilderness, not yds off a roadway, and the the only reason they found out about him, local seasonal cabins, were complaining about missing items, many of them being camping items.
I good example is the silverback was thought to be fictional until 's, and recently, a new breed of giant chimpanzees, that kill lions have been discovered. Obviously, you have not researched this subject very well, they are not referred as yeti's in canada or Alaska. The DNA evidence was assumed to be contaminated, but no one proved the data false. There were 5 different labs that returned the same results on the samples. If all 5 were wrong, then we have a giant flaw in science of DNA, and any legal case, where the decision is based on DNA evidence, should be reversed, as some of the labs used, specialize in such cases.
